    National Art Honor Society

    The National Art Honor Society is sponsored by the National Art Education Association.
    The purposes of the NAHS are to:
    1. Forster excellence and a dedicated spirit in the pursuit of art.
    2. Further the creative abilities and talents of the Society's members as well as the school's entire student art enrollment.
    3. Aid members in working toward the attainment of their highest potential in an art area.
    4. Inspire and recognize those students who have shown outstanding ability in art.
    5. Increase an awareness of art in relation to other areas of the school curriculum.
    6. Bring art to the attention of the school and community.
    7. Further aesthetic awareness in all aspects of the school's total program.

    The Ballard National Art Honor Society will meet about every two weeks in Mr. Smith's room, W123.

    The following is a list of tentative dates for this semester:
    September 3
    September 24
    October 8
    October 22
    November 12
    December 3

    Dues are $10 per year and are due by September 24. Checks should be made out to the Ballard NAHS, and can be given to Mr. Smith or Ms. Phillips.
