A novel by Vladimir Nabokov that explores a grown man's fascination with a thirteen-year-old girl.
What did you all think of this one? I know some didn't read it all the way through. Hannah hated the style and was out early. Kelsey found Nabokov's style confusing and overly detailed. Actually, I think several people in the club felt that way. Ms. Livesay and I both loved his writing style but were pretty weirded out by the content.
What is the age group for this book? The nuances may be too much for younger readers, the content so disturbing for adult readers. Whom do you think the audience for this book should be?
